Maeve Higgins On Two For the Road on RTE

Catch Maeve Higgins on Two for the Road an RTE series that follows six
well-known public figures as they accompany six people with disabilities
while they embark on a variety of highly challenging and exciting adventures
across the globe.

8.30pm Thursday 29th September RTE

Watch on the RTE iPlayer

In each episode, the celebrity will travel with someone with a serious
disability and, in each challenge, the able-bodied will have to simulate the
conditions facing the disabled companion in an effort to understand their
perspective as well as their own.

Each of the stories is different but with a common thread of shared
discovery. Two complete strangers leave their familiar lives behind and
embark on the journey of a lifetime, one with challenges both individuals in
different ways and their understanding of each other.

Sinead Kane recently qualified as the first blind solicitor in the country.
She has always longed to horse-ride and on this trip she comes to realise
that dream on the beautiful desert plains of Mexico. She is joined by fellow
Cork woman Maeve Higgins who herself will also face the challenge of riding

Brand new show alert!

Funnyman Chris Addison (you know, Blood off of Skins) is on his way. He’s
bringing all his funniness to Show & Tell, a brand new comedy series which
will be a celebration of showing, and err, telling. That is to say, story
telling, stand up and new comedy talent.

Each week, Chris will be joined by three fresh-faced, up-and-coming comics,
each bringing some things to “show” and “tell” the audience all about. In a
ruddy funny, stand-uppy way.

Plus the audience will also bring their very own peculiar “show and tells”
which Chris and his pals can have a look at, and a comedy chat all over.

Throughout the series we’ll be asking YOU LOT to get stuck in too via
Twitter. Follow @e4showandtell and play along with our games, coming soon.

Expect to see these cheeky rising stars on the show: James Acaster, Susan
Calman, Roisin Conaty, Elis James, Nick Helm, Maeve Higgins, Joe Lycett,
Diane Morgan, Celia Pacquola, Tom Parry, Chris Ramsey, Josh Widdicombe and
Joe Wilkinson.
