The Balor Is Dead, Long Live The Balor.

The Balor Theatre in Ballybofey, Co Donegal has closed the doors to it’s location at the old Ritz Cinema for the final time. The Balor will move to a new state of the art facility next week. State of the art?? Haven’t they heard there’s a recession.

The old Ritz cinema provided the comedy circuit with one of it’s finest venues. The Balor continues its comedy tradition at the new venue on July 14th with Jeff Green and Balor favourite Jarlath Regan.

Jarlath was more than slightly smitten with the old venue when he first visited it nearly 2 years ago. In fact it was more like an unhealthy obsession. I actually have a theory that the closing of the old venue is part of the terms of his impending nuptials.

We like to wish Conor and all at The Balor continued success in their new venue in the blah, blah wanky wank.

1. The first night of comedy at the new Balor was amazing. Four members of the audience raced each other by piggy back and Jeff Green was good too.
