Iveagh Garden Comedy Carnival Returns.
Last year saw the inaugral Iveagh Gardens Comedy Carnival. Set in the wonderful surrounds of one of Dublin City’s best kept secrets it was a huge success despite rain for most of the weekend. Well this July see’s it’s return. Bigger, shinier, and with better beer.
This year the Carlsberg Comedy Carnival having been expanded to a four day event takes place from Thurs July 24th to Sun July 27th. Over 60 acts take part in more than 50 shows in four purpose built venues including a 600 seater theatre and an austere Speigeltent about which last year Emo Phillips commented ‘This is where Osama Bin Laden and Elton John would live if they got married’.
Acts appearing this year include Men In Coats, Maeve Higgins, Benrnard O’Shea, John Cooper Clarke, Patrick McDonnell, Rueben, Lee Mack, Dave McSavage, Joe Rooney and millions of others … well … as I said, 60.
