Message from an 'I Dare Ya'

This is a pre-tour blog from Andrew Stanley. The ‘I Dare Ya’ show hits the road this month and we hope to be hearing from the boys over the course of the next couple of months

Well hello there all you comedy readers of things that I am talking about. It is 2008 which means that everyone has set themselves unrealistic targets which should be fairly simple to keep. Something like not eating crap food which sounds so easy becomes the most difficult thing you can imagine on this very earth! I have a new year’s resolution to stop doing heroin this year. That’s right this is a comedy night exclusive. I was addicted to heroin for 3 days. Hmmmmm if ya believe that….I think Damo has a much more realistic resolution in that he is going to do more washing of dishes before his bedsit, which is about the size of our Fiat Punto, become classed as a skip rather than an abode. Anyway back to matters at hand and welcome to the New Year and with the New Year comes new challenges. New challenges like making sure you get along to see myself and my partner in crime Damo do even stupider things than we did last year in our live show this year.

Last year we had a show on the telly and in it we did some of the silliest and stupidest dares that you can imagine but we had so much fun doing it that we decided to take the show on the road and do some more just for all of you lovely people. We will be starting in the comedy capital that is Clonmel and taking it from there and in the tour will be some clips that didn’t make it into the TV show, some dares that we filmed before we even started getting broadcast to the masses and also some new dares that we will be filming as the tour goes on. A lot of people ask us what were the stupidest dares that we carried out making the show and you will find out in this tour if ya come along.

Have a look at our upcoming gigs page to see what town near you we will be hitting and keep an eye on the blog as we will be updating that as we go along too. Or if ya feel like it click here where ya can give us some dares that we may do on the tour.

Laters,
A
