Jarlath Regan

If you like your comedy smart and relentlessly funny then you’ll love Jarlath Regan. Whether on television or radio, in comedy clubs or corporate events, since 2003 Jarlath has been making audiences all over Ireland and the U.K. howl with laughter at his inspired one-liners, razor-sharp observations and twisted greeting cards. A finalist in the BBC and Channel 4 new comedy awards at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, today he is recognised as the “one to watch” in the new generation of exciting comedians emerging from Ireland.

“Comic genius”The Irish Times

“Brilliant. Definitely one to watch….The best young talent in Dublin”Hot Press

“Charming, clever and original…The best Irish comedian you’ve never heard of”
The Dubliner Magazine

2006 was his breakout year. Supporting Ardal O’Hanlon on his tour of Ireland, Jarlath wowed the expectant crowds. His standout performances earned him an invitation to take part in the Kilkenny Cat Laughs Comedy Festival and the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal where he appeared alongside Tommy Tiernan in the “Best of Irish” televised gala.

“Witty and charming at all times, Jarlath Regan is a natural story-teller, with much of his act bursting with spontaneity.”Fringe Report

While Jarlath’s alternative brand of new age Irish comedy has been compared to Dylan Moran and Dave Allen, he has a style that is totally original and sure to have you holding your sides. With his sweetly crafted jokes, charming delivery and radio star looks, he’ll steal the keys to your heart and take your funny bone for a joy ride.

“The wittiest, funniest lines you will ever see…Regan treats the audience to an hour of pure happiness and good-feeling…never goes for the scatological punch-line and he doesn’t need to base his act on swearwords, screams or sarcasm…had the audience in tears of laughter”Edinburgh Hairline

An accomplished master of ceremonies, Jarlath is constantly in demand to host college events, corporate functions, charity fundraisers and many of the top comedy clubs in Ireland.

In 2007 his debut solo show “Nobody Knows…Jarlath Regan” won rave reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He will hit Irish television screens with his own show on June 6th 2008. Catch him while you can.
