Adam Hills.

Adam Hills is one of Australia’s most talented and widely respected comedians. His unique style of thoughtful, uplifting comedy and rampant spontaneity have won him rave reviews, a shelf of awards and a legion of fans worldwide.

Adam’s solo shows have seen sell-out houses at the Adelaide Fringe, Melbourne Comedy Festival and the Kilkenny Comedy Festival. He is a regular at the Montreal “Just for Laughs” Comedy Festival, and was the first Australian comedian to appear at the US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen 2005.

However it is at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival that Adam has truly made his mark. Totally sold-out 2000-04, three times nominated for the prestigious “Perrier Award”, winner of the inaugural Nokia Orange “Best of the Fest” Award in 2002, and the “Radio Forth Fringe Award” in 2003 – Adam has become one of the hottest attractions at the Fringe. His 2007 season of “Joymonger” sold over 13,000 tickets in Edinburgh, and was seen by over 25,000 people in Australia, where it also won The Helpmann Award for best comedy performance.

Adam’s British Television credits include “Mock The Week”, “Never Mind The Buzzcocks”, “The Charlotte Church Show”, “The BBC Stand Up Show,” “The World Stands Up” and “The World Comedy Tour” which also screened in Australia, USA and Canada.

In Australia, Adam is seen by one and a half million viewers every week as the host of the ABC’s hit music quiz show “Spicks and Specks.” He has also appeared on “Rove Live” and “The Glasshouse”, and hosted the 2003 “Just For Laughs” TV special from the Montreal Comedy Festival.

Radiowise, Adam has hosted two series of “Four at the Store” for BBC Radio 4, and co-wrote and co-performed “We Say Tomay-to” for BBC Radio 2. On top of all this, Adam made his acting debut at the 2005 Melbourne Comedy Festival in “Die On Your Feet” written by Greg Fleet, and followed this up with a starring role in “Breaker Morant” at the 2007 Edinburgh Fringe. As a writer, Adam has also contributed articles to Subaru Magazine, Inside Cricket and Ouch! Website.
