Galway Comedy Festival

TUES 22nd – MON 28th OCTOBER

Bulmers Galway Comedy Festival is proud to present their best, brightest and most diverse programme ever! Happening over a week of non-stop shows in Galway city this October, the festival runs from 22nd – 28th taking in the long and lovely bank holiday weekend.
The full 2013 programme features over 50 comedians including David O’Doherty, Neil Delamere, Maeve Higgins, Colin Murphy, Bernard O’Shea, Karl Spain, Chris Kent, Eleanor Tiernan, Eric Lalor, Fred Cooke and Colm O’Regan.
In addition to star headliners and top TV names, this year’s programme includes comedy trailblazers, alternative comedy legends, cerebral movers and shakers plus the absurd, the ridiculous and brand new up-and-coming comedic talent. Stand up is just one part of this action-packed week. Other elements include the full spectrum of improv, theatre, podcasts, poetry readings, musical & sketch comedy plus late and live comedy mixed bills. Get to Galway to experience everything from major marquee names like Sean Lock, Lee Mack, Kevin Bridges and Russell Howard to absurdist comedians such as Tony Law and Paul Currie to the spectacularly unique Frank Sanazi and Reverend Obadiah Steppenwolf III to the madcap antics of Faulty Towers Dining Experience to the totally unpredictable Set List and Whose Line is it anyway?
As if Bulmers Galway Comedy Festival isn’t reason enough to come to Galway this October, there are a number of other exciting events happening during the festival. Primal Scream play Leisureland on Saturday October 26th , Chic with Nile Rodgers play the Radisson Ballroom on Sunday October 27th, there is a Silent Disco Street Party and Macnas take to the streets with their 2013 parade on Sunday afternoon.
Tickets for Bulmers Galway Comedy Festival go on sale on Friday, 13th of September at 10am. Find us on facebook and on Twitter @galwaycomedy.
