Neil Delamere at Eyeries Family Festival 2014

Eyeries Family Festival which takes place from 18th – 20th July in the picturesque, award winning village of Eyeries on the coast of the Beara Peninsula between Castletownbere in Co Cork and Kenmare in Co Kerry has grown substantially in its success since it began just 4 years ago has now become one of the “go to” festivals of the Summer in the West Cork Calendar. Since it began there have been fantastic headline acts to open the festival each year and 2014 is no different with Neil Delamere opening the weekends festivities on Fri 18th July with his critically acclaimed comedic tour “SMARTBOMB” and without doubt it will be the exact right start to a weekend that is full of craic & ceol and a great experience for anyone who has come to visit. There are 3 days of jammed packed activities for all ages and the entire family will be kept more than busy from the early ‘til late hours each day! There is live music in the pubs and on the street, discos, ceilís, operas, talent shows, Irish dancing, family fun activity day, guided coastal and mountain walks , kids strand adventures, vintage rally and the now famous Eyeries Street Market on Sun 20th which this year sees Clodagh McKenna bringing her cooking and banter to all in the village & will be demonstrating and providing a summer BBQ for all!

Bulmers Galway Comedy Festival is proud to present their best, brightest and most diverse programme ever! Happening over a week of non-stop shows in Galway city this October, the festival runs from 22nd – 28th taking in the long and lovely bank holiday weekend.
The full 2013 programme features over 50 comedians including David O’Doherty, Neil Delamere, Maeve Higgins, Colin Murphy, Bernard O’Shea, Karl Spain, Chris Kent, Eleanor Tiernan, Eric Lalor, Fred Cooke and Colm O’Regan.
In addition to star headliners and top TV names, this year’s programme includes comedy trailblazers, alternative comedy legends, cerebral movers and shakers plus the absurd, the ridiculous and brand new up-and-coming comedic talent. Stand up is just one part of this action-packed week. Other elements include the full spectrum of improv, theatre, podcasts, poetry readings, musical & sketch comedy plus late and live comedy mixed bills. Get to Galway to experience everything from major marquee names like Sean Lock, Lee Mack, Kevin Bridges and Russell Howard to absurdist comedians such as Tony Law and Paul Currie to the spectacularly unique Frank Sanazi and Reverend Obadiah Steppenwolf III to the madcap antics of Faulty Towers Dining Experience to the totally unpredictable Set List and Whose Line is it anyway?
As if Bulmers Galway Comedy Festival isn’t reason enough to come to Galway this October, there are a number of other exciting events happening during the festival. Primal Scream play Leisureland on Saturday October 26th , Chic with Nile Rodgers play the Radisson Ballroom on Sunday October 27th, there is a Silent Disco Street Party and Macnas take to the streets with their 2013 parade on Sunday afternoon.

O Doherty Tops Bill for Galway Arts Fest!
